Q. Original oil paintings can be quite expensive, so what do you charge for your paintings?

A. It depends on the size and the complexity of the painting, but they are priced at about half the the current rate.

Q. Do you give a discount for multiple paintings?

A. Yes. For three or more paintings ordered at the same time there is a 10% discount.

Q. What form of payment do you accept?

A. Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discovery credit card or personal check.

Q. Is payment due up-front or upon delivery?

A. Half the total is due up-front; the balance is due prior to delivery.

Q. How long does it take to do a painting?

A. Depending on the backlog, it can range from 30 to 90 days.

Q. What does shipping cost and is it included in the stated price?

A. It is based on weight and the distance to be shipped. It will be stated in advance and is added to the quoted price.

A. The quoted prices are substantially below market price for their quality and the quality can be determined from the samples shown in the “Gallery” section of this web site.

Q. What kind of surface(s) do you paint on?

A. Usually, the paintings are on canvas, either stretched or panels. They can also be done on masonite “board.”

Q. Do you frame the paintings?

A. The quoted price is for unframed paintings, but framing can be arranged for an additional charge.

Q. Is it possible to get copies of an original painting?

A. If the client anticipates a need for copies at some future time, a digital photo of the painting can be taken, so that prints can be produced on canvas (giclée) or on heavy paper (lithograph). There is a slight additional cost for this service.

Q. What do copies cost?

A. Since they must be provided by outside suppliers, the charge for both lithographs and giclée prints will depend on current market prices at the time of the order, but will be determined and quoted to the customer in advance.
